Designing, breaking down business requirements into technical specification, coding, testing and release engineering. - Built components for the application using Mainframe and Java to modernize legacy applications. - Handling request and response calls processing using DB2 Stored Procedure, MQ’s (real-time & batch processing), transmission of data via files using NDM & SFTP, persisting JSON messages, storing data and feeding data to downstream/upstream applications using automated Scheduler and REST API’s (Inbound & outbound). - Independently re-written legacy system to automated system for processing Corporate Actions and decommissioned legacy application from the system without impacting any threads or process sharing it. - Infrastructure changes involving creation of MQ objects & Channels, DB2 tables, CICS configuration (transaction) & Stored Procedures. - Worked on creating CICS programs exposed as web services, Java microservices calling Stored procedures (Native/External). - Worked on Migration projects transforming COBOL programs to Java to modernize applications and migration of Mainframe components. - Analysis and modification of Assembler programs. - Capable of understanding and building end-to-end architecture of applications, can analyze and code Java microservices and Mainframe applications. This project is aimed to build Mainframe support for the digital transformation on the earlier legacy services to enhance user/customer/Agent experience in issuing home policies across United States in simplified and optimized way with the help of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, z/OS Connect APIs & Java with JSON and XML interaction, batch processing and multiple automations. - My role is to Interact with product owner and Scrum on requirement gatherings, designing, system analyst and leading team with the development on the requirements and release engineering and managing unit/QA testing. - Developed multiple COBOL API’s that can be called by distributed systems and other architecture layers to get the required response from the host system using new IBM’s z/OS connect technology. - Experience in IBM IDZ tool and creating REST services ZCON API’s using IBM z/OS explorer. - Deploying REST API’s to GITHUB repository using GIT commands in shell script and migrating to different servers using CI/CD. - Also working alongside with Client on R&D tasks using tools like ZOWE, POSTMAN, SOAPUI, Visual Studio Code. - Responsible for handling various Management and Organizational reporting activities.

The project is aimed to extend Vehicle Identification number (VIN) for BMW Vehicles to 17 digits due to duplication of VIN numbers in the foreseeable future. - I was responsible for analyzing impact analysis on the change to various streams and implement the changes. Number of online screens and batch programs were changed to extend the VIN number, Changes were also made to Stored procedures, database (db2), VSAM files, DASD files to extend the length. - Interaction with Stakeholders on requirement gatherings, design and estimation, build, testing, support and documentation.

CAPE project was introduced to provide optimized pricing based on the features, options and covers selected by the customers for their policies. Customer Marketplace project aimed to deliver digital and portable services for the customers to view and experience new design, feel and look to buy, view profile, select from range of products and services offered by Suncorp Insurance via mobile interface and other devices. - I was responsible for building mainframe services and APIs to calculate optimized and accurate charges for Insurance policies by calling third-party pricing engine using ZCON API’s using JSON on various stages of policy life cycle. - Onshore (Australia) experience in coordinating/leading team and requirement gathering from business and breaking down into technical requirements. - Designed and built Mainframe apps to call different services via REST API’s.
