www.visionsofkirk.com I am a creative leader helping to enable businesses to make better data-driven decisions through the development of building applications that do such things as predict individual customer's or segment's needs, preferences, or habits. Also the ability to anticipate selling and other business opportunities, like delivering better service or targetting marketing campaigns. I help you understand customers and segments very well through historical transactions, behaviors, habits, and profile data.I am often bound by the grips of my humility, but now is not the time to hold back. So if I have your attention, let me tell you how I became a creative innovative leader in helping businesses become more data-driven in decision-making.I started an interactive agency in 1999, Level Ten, building award-winning web applications for companies like Nationwide Insurance, American Airlines, AT&T, local celebrities, and more. I also worked with, was a consultant to, and helped build other advertising agencies during that time period. This part of my career is where I shined in skills as a designer. I designed anything and everything I could get exposed to. TV Commercials, animations, Websites, Applications, points of sale, and even soda cans. You name it, I've probably designed for it. Once the mobile application era came into play, I stepped deeper into the corporate world. Starting at NEC and later moving to Verizon where I did not just refine how to focus my inventive mind on specific business objectives but I also learned to strengthen relationships with partners, help team members grow, and take products to market as I was responsible for the design and creative solutions of video products by Verizon (FiOS tv, Redbox Instant). I invented patented technologies that may leave additional marks of my place in the history of the advancement of digital video technology. After Verizon's design org was dissolved, I moved to an industry I had dodged up to this point, the financial industry. It turns out I have a unique knack for the analytical and design segments of the business. Starting at Fannie Mae and after a few years moving to Citi as a Creative Director to now VP of Data and Design leading a team of UX designers, architects, writers, and partners in developing applications that focus on performance management, analytics, predictive modeling, and data & text modeling. And that is (however brief) how I have become a creative innovative leader in helping a business become a more data-driven decision-making company.
