Offices and manufacturing are both located in Utah.In the role of Senior Product Development Engineer I developed new and innovative carbon fiber and aluminum hybrid arrow shafts. I had a broad scope of responsibilities in addition to product development including hands-on machine setup, technical representative at industry events, project management and team leadership, manufacturing process improvement, and coordination with pro athletes.One of my favorite projects was identifying the market need for a small diameter aluminum arrow. The problem was keeping the arrow light at the smaller diameter and I did this by putting carbon fiber on the inside, which eventually received a patent. The resulting product was Axis FMJ introduced in 2006 and first year sales were double the forecast. Sales have steadily increased over the years and other products have been developed to create a family of high tech products that distinguishes Easton from its competitors. Show less

During this time I worked for Professor Dan Adams to develop the Strength of Materials class laboratory curriculum. I also did split ring testing of carbon fiber hoops and shock cord stretch testing at temperatures from -40 to 120 degrees F.
