After starting a degree in Civil Engineering at Lehigh, I made a shift towards Architecture as I grew to love the history of design and craftsmanship that I was introduced to in part by my work study position in the Special Collections archives. As graduation approached, I tried to find a career path that could combine the Architecture work that had been the focus of my degree and the archival and museum work that was the scope of my work study position. This search led to the field of Historic Preservation, and the program offered in partnership between the College of Charleston and Clemson University. Having the opportunity to use the city of Charleston as an extended laboratory and training center was incredible, and exposed me to many facets of the work we preservationists complete on a daily basis.Furthering my career as a Historic Preservation Specialist for the New Jersey Historic Trust, I worked to oversee multiple grant funded preservation projects throughout the Garden State, plan and operate the New Jersey History and Historic Preservation Conference, and explore the architectural wonders of the greater Philadelphia and New York City metropolitan areas.I'm now looking forward to furthering my career and expanding my skillset through my work as an Architectural Historian with EBI Consulting.
