Being the Meter Data Management (MDM) solution Architect, I was responsible to design an operating Business Model using Standard SAP ISU components like SAP DM, SAP EDM, SAP IDE and SAP AMI.1. From Business process understanding to Business process documentation, I was the lead solution designer.2. Understanding the optimum number of services to be used from SAP AMI component so that project target can be achieved with optimal changes.3. Configuring the complete SAP EDM component, so that solution supports multiple profile types with different length and different unit of measurement and is able to communicate with STORM.4. Configuring the SAP AMI component so that SAP AMI capability can be created to talk with external system for Device and profile synchronization.5. Configuring the SAP disconnection and re connection process so that remote disconnection and re connection is achieved using SAP AMI features.6. Configuring the event management in SAP,so that SAP is able to process inbound events and create exceptions based on BRF+ rules.7. Designing custom solution so that “On Demand Read (ODR)” can be raised and tracked,for sites where data is missing.8. Designing and configuring exceptions so that any failure in Business process can be mapped to BPEM (Business process Exception Management).9. Configured Device categories and created devices with Advance metering capabilities.10. Building custom solution so that interval meter read loaded into EDM can be validated, substituted and published as per AEMO guidelines.11. Built Batch optimization concept in the design so that multiple parallel processing can continue. The scalability of the solution is to handle millions of intervals every hour and able to publish millions of read within 4 hours window to market after validating and substituting as per AEMO guidelines.12. Delivering the project within 6 months time frame using a new technology was a great challenge and did successfully achieve it.
