Providing legal and governance consultancy services in the rule of law & governance areas of international development, and domestic constitutional & administrative law.2020-: Working with the UK Government: on merger cases under the Enterprise Act 2002 and the development of the National Security and Investment Bill; and the response to Covid in relation to the film and TV industries.2020: Drafting EU Exit-related legislation on special customs procedure for the Guernsey Government,2020: Working with the International Commission of Jurists and the Myanmar Attorney General Office to deliver training on the legislative drafting process.2018-: Working with the UK Government to review the legal frameworks on broadcasting and communications law & the licensing framework for the export of works of art, and implementing the Cairncross Review.2018-: Establishing a new UK charity, Myanmar Trust UK, to distribute grants to Myanmar.2018: Drafting briefing for a UK legal charity for the UK House of Lords on the EU (Withdrawal) Bill.2016-2018: Drafting a Bill to promote interfaith harmony in Myanmar including provisions on hate speech, hate crimes and positive obligations on public authorities.2015-2016: Working with the Myanmar Union Attorney General’s Office and the United Nations Development Programme on improving legislative drafting: interviewing and capturing the existing knowledge and practice of senior officials, incorporating international standards and drafting a manual on legislative drafting.
