Mr Vivek Jain has been instrumental in organising a couple of events bringing all the staff members of Nielsen for direct contact with poor and under-privileged students from slum schools in Asia's second biggest slum (Malwani) in Mumbai. The interaction programme was well planned, it provided access to students and the staff of Nielsen to know each other and make quality improvements for managing their studies. The Senior Managers and middle level functionaries of Nielsen had personally assessed the requirements of students from about 9 Bal Gurukuls (Schools for the poor and under-privileged children) of Malwani slum area and exhorted them to avail of the facilities offered and improve their performance in the future. His management of the blood donation drive in close collaboration with Indian Development Foundation (IDF) deserves praise. The attendance of the donors, the arrangement for blood collection by the medical and paramedical teams and the public deserve special mention. He also shouldered the responsibility of organizing the `Joy of Giving' programme and mobilized various items for distribution to the poor and the needy. Mr Vivek Jain did a remarkable job is extending help to students and also for the ongoing educational programmes of IDF through corporate funds through the CSR activities of Nielsen. He is a go-getter and has excellent qualities of networking and team-work with people. Mr Vivek Jain is a remarkable young person with enthusiasm to do good for deserving causes. His interaction with our IDF team has been remarkably good and continues to be so. He can manage massive jobs involving large groups of corporate staff to do a good turn for the under-privileged.
