I'm a Postdoc fellow @ NUS Wireless Bioelectronics Lab. My work holistically focuses on the research, innovation and commercialisation of wireless sensing (WiSe) medical implants. I work on the the materials, electronics, clinical and translational aspects of the technology.During my postdoc also spearheaded the translation of WiSe and have received many awards and raised funding for my pitching skills and technology.I have developed WiSe technology from ideation stage and productized the technology as per market and clinical needs. I'm a passionate Technopreneur, striving to holistically translate my postdoc research into a spin-off. WiSe is a platform technology to monitor deep, invisible sites. Our beachhead market is gastrointestinal surgery as I have identified the unmet clinical need to detect anastomotic leakage on-time, post-surgery. The value proposition is the selling point of the technology.I spearhead the R&D, translation, QMS set-up, regulatory strategy, First-in-Human trials, Clinical/Pilot trials and commercialization of WiSe, working closely with my team. Was a part of Lean LaunchPad (LLP) Singapore, which is a 10-week immersive programme, modelled after the US I-Corps programme. It was an intense, insightful and enriching experience, which equipped me with a deeper understanding of commercialization of technology, in-terms of market validation, competitor analysis, identifying beach head market and expanding into a diverse markets.
