I earned my Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. I am currently a Mellon Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University. Prior to Vanderbilt, I was a College Fellow in the Department of Sociology at Harvard University from 2019-2021. From 2018-2019, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Weatherhead Center for International Relations’ Program on U.S.-Japan Relations, also at Harvard. Since the spring of 2020, I have been the co-PI for the AAPI COVID-19 Project, a collective research project examining the ongoing COVID-19 crisis as it shapes the lives of Asians, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders in the United States. https://www.aapicovid19.orgMy primary research fields are sociology and Asian American Studies.
