Its purpose is to state whether the law has been correctly applied on the basis of the facts as established by the lower court. My work includes many landmark cases representing:• the Dutch Standardisation Institute concerning the question whether technical standards referred to in public law, known as "NEN norms", are protected by copyright.• Lancôme, the international cosmetics company, in a case in which the Supreme Court held that the scent of a perfume is protectable by copyright. • Dutch collective management organisation before the Supreme Court and European Court of Justice in several cases concerning the system of private copying levies.
