My interests involved in wanting to become a therapist are observing and reacting to the interactions of the way people behave individually and interpersonally. My accomplishments in professional development involve being the first in my family to pursue and complete college at bachelors and masters levels.I desire the opportunity to observe, co-facilitate or facilitate independently family therapy, provide assessments, write and develop treatment plans for couples and families. You will find my interactions with clients to always be respectful, professional, and supportive. Although I have minimal experience in working with a wide variety of diagnoses, I have experience working with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I am goal focused and determined to achieve them to the best of my abilities. I consider myself pleasant and friendly to work with, open-minded, hard-working and task orientated, and possess the ability to work calmly and logically while under stress and maintain a healthy self care routine. I am interested in working with families and adolescents to promote better mental health and general well being in family systems. I have an interest in Gottman training as well as future goals of AASECT certification as a sex therapist. Specialties: Attended the workshop Finding Balance: Utilizing Positive Psychological Interventions in Counseling and Therapy. Obtained 7 contact hours under the instruction of Jeana Magyar-Moe, Ph.D through the UW-SP Continuing Education, June 23, 2011.
