For nearly 25 years, I proudly served with the Toronto Police Service, taking on diverse roles that ranged from Auxiliary Sergeant and Court Supervisor to Police Officer in Divisional Primary Response and the Motor Squad. My final position as Media Relations and Social Media Lead at Traffic Services allowed me to champion road safety and drive community engagement.As the “TikTok Traffic Cop,” I redefined how police connect with the public through social media, growing the Toronto Police TikTok account to over 672,000 followers. My innovative approach helped reshape the relationship between law enforcement and the communities we serve.Advocate & Educator:I’ve had the privilege of speaking to diverse audiences, from the Canadian Armed Forces to participants in the Traffic Injury Research Foundation’s Drop It and Drive program. My work centers on raising awareness about critical issues like distracted driving, delivering impactful education to drivers from all walks of life.I’ve also redefined how police agencies engage online, training officers and advising government organizations on effective social media strategies. My goal has always been to promote transparency, safety, and stronger community connections through genuine engagement.Post-Policing Mission:Since transitioning from law enforcement, my focus is on continuing to drive positive change through education, engagement, and effective communication.
