Principal Solutions Engineer
CurrentPrimary responsibilities includes to work with major US state tax agencies as a 'Data/Information Architect' and “Conversion Lead” on implementing agency wide Integrated Tax Systems. As Principal Solution Engineer Lead, closely working with client business analysts, analyzing the business requirements to align technical design and provide the best solution by leading a team to turn the data system into a product for the Revenue Premier suite from RSI.Responsibilities: • Design, develop, test, document, analyze, and support critical and complex software applications for the purpose of extracting, transforming a loading legacy data from mainframe file and other file types into relational database tables. This includes new development, modifications to existing code, and defect fixes.• Taking technical ownership of many aspects of the product systems including: taxpayer accounting, revenue accounting, financial transaction processing, forms processing, registration, demographics management, collections, billing, and refunds.• Analyze legacy data and create mappings into modernized database tables, including documenting business rules needed to transform legacy data into the appropriate table entry.• Modifications to existing code and defect fixes: Deliver complete and thorough fixes to reported defects in the conversion code base. This includes drawing on a solid understanding of RPTP and software development principles to deliver a comprehensive fix that avoids unforeseen problems with other components by developing solution using MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS and PowerBI.• Support production data migration from legacy systems to Cloud based conversion environment, and extract, transform and load data across data tables into the RPTP database tables.• Often guide client and team members (onsite - offshore co-ordination) with approaches & solutions in terms of converting existence system data to RSI integrated tax processing system.
