o I worked 50 hours a week in the ice cream plant as an associate. My daily duties included: Flavoring and coloring ice cream mix, operating an ice cream freezer and filler machine, adding ingredients to the ice cream as it was being filled, making sure ingredients were kept at the proper temperatures and handled safely by food safety guidelines, as well as many others. I was required to follow HACCP plans for the products we produced. In addition to that job, I also write articles about nutrition research for the “Dairy Diary”. My newsletters are also distributed monthly for employees to read.

I worked as a laborer in the store, the factory, and the warehouse. I also drove a delivery truck and made deliveries. This job taught me to be flexible and to be ready to do any job that was asked of me. I was moved around quite often, which allowed me to excel in many different areas.

I worked in the Dietary Department as a Dietary Aid providing food and nutrition to the geriatric population at this facility. This job taught me structure and responsibility. I always had to be very alert and prepared so the residents got the correct diet that had been assigned to them.
