I originally grew up in Arizona, but moved to England in 1999. I am a Senior Finance Executive at Timothy James & Partners Ltd, a firm of independent financial advisers based in London. My role involves team management, as well as researching technical solutions for clients & compiling reports covering investments, wealth management, retirement planning, tax / inheritance tax planning, mortgages, trusts, protection & much more. I am also responsible for proofreading company reports & standard company documents.Beyond my day job, I am an independently published writer of novels & short stories in the YA, fantasy, sci-fi & horror genres, and I do digital art.I hold a BA Hons in English with Creative Writing; proofreading qualifications with Chapter House & the Publishers Training Centre (the PQB); a Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning through the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII); the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning (CII); Fellowship in the CII; & Certificates in Mortgage Advice, Advanced Mortgage Advice, Equity Release, Pension Transfers, & Paraplanning (CII).Previously, I completed work experience with Random House, proofread for Mandala Publications, & offered private English & creative writing tuition at GCSE, A-Level and university level.
