Manage assigned country programs home office support teams; plan and facilitate communication with the Project Director and senior project staff; plan and facilitate coordination meetings with home office-based country support team to provide focused and timely support to overseas staff and projects; facilitate short-term technical assistance; supervise two home office personnel.

Provided health education in a variety of community settings, including teaching nutrition skills to HIV-affected orphans and women enrolled in an urban gardening program; teaching hygiene and life skills to youth clubs; running summer youth camps; and teaching English to adults. Supported a local family planning NGO to strengthen capacity in grant and report writing skills, which resulted in winning a grant for expanded sexual and reproductive health services.

Managed a US$3 million dollar USAID cooperative agreement, including eight sub-grants to NGOs to conduct pandemic influenza preparedness activities in Egypt, Ethiopia, Nepal, Mali, and Uganda. Maintained regular communication with the CORE Group membership of 50+ NGOs on resources for pandemic preparedness.

Provided daily instruction to a 15-person class of immigrant parents in level-appropriate English and parenting skills.

Planned and implemented three large biennial Micronutrient Forum conferences in Morocco, Peru, and Turkey, and workshops in Italy and South Africa. Coordinated the production and dissemination of ten technical briefs, and four proceedings of international meetings, including supplements to two scientific journals. Won a US$2.4 million sub-grant for continued micronutrient-related work, and raised contributions from private sector and other donors.

Provided support to child survival programs in five Latin American countries (Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Bolivia, and Ecuador), including program, workplan and budget development, and financial and programmatic reporting.
