Head Of Modern Slavery And Workers’ Rights
CurrentI lead the Welsh Government’s Modern Slavery & Workers’ Rights Team. I am responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of a broad programme of work to tackle modern slavery and unethical and illegal employment practices with a focus on supporting survivors.I chair the Wales Anti-Slavery Leadership Group and the Wales Anti-Slavery Academic Group, bringing together key partners from law enforcement agencies and civil society. I also have lead responsibility for the Welsh Government Code of Practice on Ethical Employment in Supply Chains, with over 400 signatory organisations from across a diverse range of sectors.I am also a core member of the UK Government’s Modern Slavery Strategy and Implementation Group and a member of the Independent Child Trafficking Guardianship Service National Steering Board, among other responsibilities. I work closely with various UK Government departments and agencies and other Devolved Administrations, the devolved public services in Wales, social partners, international organisations, research bodies, and many other key partners.
