►Key member of the Major Shutdown Lead Team. The role provided key advice and direction to the Shutdown Manager on systems, processes, procedures and tools to safely plan and execute 2 shutdowns on time and within budget.►Accountable for the monitoring and cost reporting of all shutdown expenditure with a budget of $30M. This included labour, materials and service contracts. Intelligent tools were developed to interface with BHPB 1SAP outputs ►Detailed capturing of continuous forecasting with shutdown planning team. This ensures that up to date 1SAP data (labour, materials and services) were captured in the forecast and monitored against the approved budget.►Development of Planning Norms to accurate monitor the planning effort to ensure that adequate resources we allocated. This included planning breakdown milestones and earned value analysis. ►Development of Cost Estimation tools to provide P50 Cost Estimate during the early stages of the shutdown planning. This included extracting Maintenance Items/Task List and Work order/Notification information from BHPB 1SAP system. Automated functions within the tool allowed for labour categories, multiple materials, services and equipment allowances.►Developed a Dynamic schedule (approx. 120k manhours) which interfaced with excel to accurately forecast manning requirements from a shift to shift basis to ensure that sufficient resource were available to execute the works and non required resources were demobilized to minimize cost.►Development of the Major Shutdown Schedule structure. Development and monitoring of Shutdown Planning and execution schedule. This included Task durations and interaction logic, multiple levels of critical path identification and interrogation, task slack and impact to Nickel on reporting.

►My role is to lead and manage a team of Analysis and Improvement Strategists to support NPI in developing and reviewing the quality of their Maintenance Strategies across their operations in Western Australia. Areas of focus are Aviation, Camps, Water Supply/Treatment and High Voltage Transmission and Distribution. Some duties are as follows:•Lead, manage, coach and supervise a team of 11 Analysis and Improvement Specialists in supporting BHP’s NPI (Non Process Infrastructure) area in developing and reviewing 1SAP compliant Maintenance Strategies.•Coordinate and control the cleansing, enrichment, and update of back-end data from GSAP to 1SAP across the Aviation, Camps, Water Supply/Treatment along with HV Transmission and Distribution.•Support and direct the Analysis and Improvement Engineers and Technical Writers to identify and prioritise Preventative Maintenance Instructions (PMIs) and Corrective Work Instructions (WINS).•Liaise closely with OEMs and equipment SMEs in order to verify work maintenance strategies. •Review and sign-off on all Preventative Maintenance Instructions (PMIs) and Material Management (MM) standardisations in line with the relevant Superintendent across the NPI Group.•Travel to site as required and liaise closely with site personnel in order to conduct equipment inspections, carry out job observations and verify the relevant maintenance strategies. •Ensure conformance with the BHP Billiton Charter, the BHP Billiton Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations within operations.•Attend meetings with key internal stakeholders in the business and provided technical advice, coaching and guidance as required on project deliverables and progress.•Prepare and sign off on Master Data 1SAP load sheets for maintenance plans/items/task lists and ensure all details are in order and accurate. Update as required and follow up on system changes.

►Seconded role into the Karara Iron Ore Project. The role was to assist the Manager of Power, in executing the Power Infrastructure packages with a capital works budget of $330M. •Lead, coordinated and supervised a team of 4 Package Engineers across the project ensuring all works were delivered to Karara’s quality, technical, safety and budget controls and schedules. •Managed the overall quality of project deliverables and ensured projects were on track and on time in line with clients requirements and specifications.•Played a pivotal role in the development of tenders and awards and managed multiple technical contracts across a range of specialised sub-contractors. Monitored work •Ensured that the planning for the project included engineering, construction and procurement considerations, early identification of lead times and allowed efficient and effective execution.•Reviewed design and technical documents and negotiated with architects, design engineers, suppliers and general contractors for applied design changes and improvements.•Forecasted, monitored and tracked project budgets and associated costs. •Adhered to and promoted all aspects of OHS&E both on site and off according to all statutory and regulatory guidelines. Completed all necessary safety, risk and hazard paperwork as required.•Carried our regular site inspections to ensure compliance of construction with designs and to attend to matters with regard to execution of construction works.• Produced reports as required by either senior management or client including assisting with the preparation of monthly project management reports.•Assisted controls team with the development of construction schedules for use in tenders and highlighted any over-allocations of resources based on the master schedule.•Coordinated effectively between construction and regulatory approvals team for expediting land owner access, cultural heritage, native vegetation clearing approval and Council/Shire approvals.
