►Key member of the Major Shutdown Lead Team. The role provided key advice and direction to the Shutdown Manager on systems, processes, procedures and tools to safely plan and execute 2 shutdowns on time and within budget.►Accountable for the monitoring and cost reporting of all shutdown expenditure with a budget of $30M. This included labour, materials and service contracts. Intelligent tools were developed to interface with BHPB 1SAP outputs ►Detailed capturing of continuous forecasting with shutdown planning team. This ensures that up to date 1SAP data (labour, materials and services) were captured in the forecast and monitored against the approved budget.►Development of Planning Norms to accurate monitor the planning effort to ensure that adequate resources we allocated. This included planning breakdown milestones and earned value analysis. ►Development of Cost Estimation tools to provide P50 Cost Estimate during the early stages of the shutdown planning. This included extracting Maintenance Items/Task List and Work order/Notification information from BHPB 1SAP system. Automated functions within the tool allowed for labour categories, multiple materials, services and equipment allowances.►Developed a Dynamic schedule (approx. 120k manhours) which interfaced with excel to accurately forecast manning requirements from a shift to shift basis to ensure that sufficient resource were available to execute the works and non required resources were demobilized to minimize cost.►Development of the Major Shutdown Schedule structure. Development and monitoring of Shutdown Planning and execution schedule. This included Task durations and interaction logic, multiple levels of critical path identification and interrogation, task slack and impact to Nickel on reporting.

Some duties are as follows:•Lead, manage, coach and supervise a team of 11 Analysis and Improvement Specialists in supporting BHP’s NPI (Non Process Infrastructure) area in developing and reviewing 1SAP compliant Maintenance Strategies.•Coordinate and control the cleansing, enrichment, and update of back-end data from GSAP to 1SAP across the Aviation, Camps, Water Supply/Treatment along with HV Transmission and Distribution.•Support and direct the Analysis and Improvement Engineers and Technical Writers to identify and prioritise Preventative Maintenance Instructions (PMIs) and Corrective Work Instructions (WINS).•Liaise closely with OEMs and equipment SMEs in order to verify work maintenance strategies. •Review and sign-off on all Preventative Maintenance Instructions (PMIs) and Material Management (MM) standardisations in line with the relevant Superintendent across the NPI Group.•Travel to site as required and liaise closely with site personnel in order to conduct equipment inspections, carry out job observations and verify the relevant maintenance strategies. •Ensure conformance with the BHP Billiton Charter, the BHP Billiton Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations within operations.•Attend meetings with key internal stakeholders in the business and provided technical advice, coaching and guidance as required on project deliverables and progress.•Prepare and sign off on Master Data 1SAP load sheets for maintenance plans/items/task lists and ensure all details are in order and accurate. Update as required and follow up on system changes.
