I have vast experience in humanitarian work with special skills in project design for women and girls empowerment, livelihoods, health, women’s rights, Gender-based violence, education and gender mainstreaming in both humanitarian and development. I have good experience with gender transformative approaches including EMAP, SASA, and Communities Care tool kit and I have done a lot of capacity building of staff in mainstreaming gender in programming. Currently, I co-chair the GBV prevention and fuel Efficiency Technical working group on behalf of the GBV Subcluster in South Sudan and I coordinate Gender in Emergency projects in CARE. I have contributed to advocacy initiatives on gender equality and GBV in South Sudan and globally and represented the organisation in different advocacy platforms within the CARE ECSA region. I have been part of the emergency response team with INGOs such as IRC, ARC and CARE and have been part of integrating gender in sectoral responses in different humanitarian settings. I have been part of response teams after floods, communal conflicts induced IDPs and Refugees, drought and famine and understand different settings and ability to support different teams, leading on rapid Gender Analysis at the onset of disasters. My work with CARE in South Sudan has helped me further strengthen my skills in team building, advocacy, donor relationships, and operating in insecure environments. I have represented the organizations that I have worked with in different national and international forums which have strengthened my ability to build alliances and networks, and coordinate and ensure knowledge and learning are generated and shared across multiple stakeholders. My role as Senior Gender Emergencies Manager with CARE International in South Sudan has helped me strengthen my skills to work with teams remotely and provide support.
