Since opening our doors in 1982 to share a meal with the most vulnerable members of the community, Sacred Heart Mission has evolved into an independent and innovative non-profit organisation renowned for effectively helping thousands of people experiencing homelessness to rebuild their lives and find a pathway out of homelessness. I am proud to have been with Sacred Heart Mission for more than 15 years and have seen firsthand the positive social change and realisation of our organisation's vision and mission. Since 2010, I have been directly responsible for managing the op shops and leading an incredible team of staff and volunteers; ultimately quadrupling the growth of the op shops, which raise almost 30 per cent of Sacred Heart Mission's funding for client services. As General Manager Business Development, I am now responsible for fundraising, social enterprise and op shops, as well as communication and advocacy, and I have a special interest in social enterprise development.
