Wagner Antony Gomes e Silva is a Brazilian journalist and radialist for 27 years of experience. He presents the shows Super Manhã, Mesa de Bar and participates in other programs with large audiences in Pernambuco (Brazil), the Passando a Limpo at Rádio Jornal/Recife (FM 90,3). Wagner is one of the most recognized professionals in Recife, Pernambuco’s capital, and has been dedicating his last years of broadcasting focusing on politics and economy. The Radio Jornal and Recife FM have the largest audience among the commercial FMs in Recife. Throughout his career in Communications, Wagner worked in the public sector, in Pernambuco’s Government as management of Audio and Video Broadcasting from 2011 to 2014. Before that, he worked at the TV Jornal, presenting the show “O Povo na TV”, a space for the public to denunciate bad politicians’ practice, and providing the audience with reliable information. Passionate about politics and finance, Wagner Gomes specialized in electoral communication and political marketing, by Estácio de Sá University, in Brazil. He also has a postgraduate degree in Finance, Investments and Banking by Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. Wagner Gomes started working for radio when he was 22 years old, as a radio announcer and operator. That was where his passion for communications started. As an intern, he worked for the TV Pernambuco, reporting sports. In July 2000, he started working at the Radio Jornal for the first time, as a reporter, radio announcer and executive producer. Wagner Gomes was born in Arcoverde, Pernambuco in 1974, has a daughter called Beatriz and lives in Recife since 1997. He earned a bachelor's in Journalism from the Federal University from Pernambuco in 2002.
