I served the navy on the USS Porter as a Gas Turbine Systems technician (mechanical). During my time aboard USS Porter my responsibility where, but not limited to, maintaining all equipment and personnel in one of two main engine rooms aboard the ship. This included following up on training schedule and conducting training with junior personnel, as well as delegating jobs and maintenance items for the week. In addition to maintaining personnel i also was responsible for the equipment in the engine room and equipment owned by the engine room in the neighboring Auxiliary room. This included Low pressure air systems, sea water cooling systems, oil waste removal and transfer, main fuel system including tanks filtration and pumps, oil lubricating system, and two 3 Turbines. One Rolls-Royce Alison 501-k34 gas turbine generator, as well as two General Electric Lm2500 main propulsion Gas turbine's. My responsibilities were to ensure all systems are properly functioning and in proper alignment as well as performing basic maintenance on all turbines to ensure constant operational readiness.

Yankee fire and Rescue is a local dealership in Palmer, MA that supplies the area of New England with quality Firefighting and rescue vehicles to both hospitals and privately owned and ran services.I worked for Yankee Fire and Rescue doing basic technician work including small replacement of basic parts, replacing lines and fitting in oxygen systems replacing floors, seating, safety handles, and brackets holding parts and personnel in place. I addition to basic technician responsibilities I also worked as a driver for picking up parts, as well as picking up vehicles from the manufacturer located in Ohio, and delivering new vehicles to customers and returning recently serviced vehicles as well.
