Created repeatable service definitions and consulting strategies. Also, backstopped all of the technical analysis for the more complex engagements, many of which were $1MM+ in size.

Worked with a team and across departments to reliably deliver new capabilities on all projects, especially relating to user experience monitoring, performance engineering, CI/CD, infrastructure lifecycle management, and operational visibility capabilities. Managed the hiring pipeline, resource scheduling, and PnL for the Pythian DevOps team.

Led two, large, key engagements for DriveDev, a DevOps consultancy which later became Blackbird and was acquired by Pythian. Enabled a client to rapidly recover after a failed launch to retain $15MM in investment revenue and go on to capture $55MM in revenue on the new architecture within the first year. This involved creating new capabilities of continuous delivery, customer analytics, database administration, new APIs driving business logic, cloud architecture, and operational visibility.

Began consulting while still in college. Was successful and grew it to a company of about 25 FTE during the final years. Managed a data center and supported over 4000 online presences. Built SaaS platforms from the ground up. The following are among the more notable:1. C# and MSSQL - A medical billing SaaS platform for doctors and collections,2. Objective C and PHP - A dynamic mobile, photo-taking, inspection survey SaaS platform.3. Java / Spring - A media warehousing and sales distribution SaaS platform.4. Adobe Flex and PHP - A Facebook, flash, massively multiplayer poker game.5. Java - Account signup qualification and provisioning for a worldwide 4G data provider. 6. Objective C and PHP - An Instagram competitor.Ownership came with many responsibilities aside from technology, including client acquisition, marketing strategy, human resources policy, project management, sales engineering, communication standards, recruiting, and training.
