Walker places a high value on the team-based approach at Anchor Investment Management and believes his best days at work are when a client realizes that their entire financial future is secure, no matter what happens in the market.Walker graduated from Hammond School in Columbia and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia. Afterward, he earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina before moving to New York where he worked for Goldman Sachs as a securities trader on the floor of the New York and American Stock Exchanges. He returned to Columbia to raise his family and joined Wachovia Bank in their corporate trust division where he helped municipalities raise funds for infrastructure projects. For 11 years Walker owned and operated a disaster restoration business before joining the team at Anchor in July, 2016.As the fourth generation of his family to reside in Columbia, Walker still lives in his childhood home with his wife, Laura, and three children. When he is not supporting their extracurricular activities he enjoys hunting, sailing, and golf.
