Gis Specialist
CurrentAs GIS Specialist for Urbana, I've been responsible for maintaining, organizing, and presenting the city's GIS data. The majority of my time is spent working with public infrastructure, but I have also been involved with projects for city planning, police work, and economic development. By presenting these data in an organized, visual format I've been able to directly improve workflows across multiple city departments.Most of my work is done using ESRI suite tools, mainly ArcGIS Pro 2.9 & ArcGIS for Enterprise v10.9. I'm responsible for schema management, enterprise database access, QA/QC of data, and for answering any question that starts with "Where". More recently, I've moved into developing custom Python widgets for improving existing workflows. Two notable examples of are one that provides infrastructure statistics for annual reporting and another that outputs tax parcel & address information within a custom radius of a set parcel.
