Lead a team of 5 in developing an iOS and android compatible application to help users in solving jigsaw puzzles. The user would take a birds-eye photo of multiple puzzle pieces of interest and our application would run through a series of image pre-processing and edge-matching dissimilarity metric steps to provide the user with a set of possible puzzle.

Produced the very first quantitative results on the general composition of known asteroids via the training and testing of various ML models on labeled meteorite spectra. Tested the classification performance of different methods for pre-processing to better understand how instrument noise impacts the collection of spectra. Presented research in two talks.

Contacted other scientists and collected both meteorite and asteroid data. Organized and created the largest collection of asteroid and meteorite spectra data. Trained modern ML models using the Bus-DeMeo classifications of both meteorites and asteroids in an attempt to draw mineralogical connections between both objects.
