As the leader of the design section for the development of the Certification and Fuel Economy Information System (CFEIS), Mr. Bauer supervised a staff of three analysts and was responsible for the design of a major, mission-critical EPA system that performs the air emissions and fuel economy calculations for all automobiles and light trucks sold in the United States. Mr. Bauer managed a staff of professionals as the Technical Project Leader for the EPA Office of Pesticide Programs' Label Use Information System (LUIS). His duties included administrative functions for DynCorp and the management of personnel, software, hardware and financial resources, as well as the direction of system maintenance and development of enhancements.
