Silver Spring, MD

A two-term position with one of the best laboratory planning firms in the nation. Projects included a variety of laboratories for a diverse group of clients, as well as Healthcare diagnostic equipment clinical spaces.

At LAS, I helped to spearhead the on-going transition to BIM, developed new programming database tools and sought to open the firm to marketing new types of services (Sustainable Campus Master-planning and Implementation). Mentoring activities included internal presentations on topics of codes, practice process and deliverables.

My involvement in Sci-Tech marketing for Hillier has resulted in many significant wins of prestigious, important projects.At Hillier (before it was purchased by RMJM) I led several Technical Quality Assurance initiatives, including maintenance and improvement of the firm's electronic Details Library and the rewriting of the Working Drawings Standards.

Princeton, NJ

As Project Architect and occasional designer, under supervision of the Principals, I led teams working on a variety of projects including renovations to Princeton University's Firestone Library (Rare book collection) and part renovation of its Chemistry Building. Projects also included flex warehouse/manufacturing/office buildings and several laboratory.

I primarily worked on the renovations projects for the New Jersey State Capitol Complex.

I worked in the NYC office. My assignments included team leadership as PA for Suffolk County Forensic Sciences Laboratories, Squibb headquarters office renovations, South Hills Mall expansion and improvements and as job captain for VA Hospital (Manhattan) expansion.

Much of my learning about how to put buildings together and what it takes in the field to get them constructed began in this office. Significant projects included Riverbank Park (Manhattan), Con Edison customer service facility (the Bronx), Westchester Branch Public Library (the Bronx), Columbia University Baker Field Stadium, Estee Lauder AS/R Warehouse.

Some of the models I made in those days, lasted for decades. Here is where I learned that a cricket is not just a name of an insect.
