Paper prototypes and higher fidelity digital prototypes were used in evaluations such as: Heuristic Evaluations, Think Aloud, Cognitive Walkthroughs, and made use of Neilson’s five usability goals: Learnability, Efficiency, Memorability, Errors and Satisfaction. Resulting in students starting their own User Experience consultancies and being hired by Symantec, Intel, and Oracle.

Introduced HCI projects into the Industrial Design curriculum.Students won: James Dyson Award (2008) and International Home and Housewares Show Award (2008).

Identifying unmet business and product opportunities for the client. Changing and elevating the client’s overall business strategy. Designing and collaborating with the rapid development of a series of disruptive products that are introduced to the market. Procter & Gamble purchases the company and adopts/incorporates these product strategies into their plan.Using Contextual Inquiry to develop and apply significant ergonomic, human factors, and in-use data to the design of an adult manipulated infant (6-18 months) toothbrush.

Working with psychologist and sleep researcher Dr. James Maas while developing various sleeping aid solutions taking into account how to properly set the circadian rhythm by the use and control of full spectrum lighting.
