Responsible for identifying, documenting and monitoring gangs, disruptive and security threat groups for the purpose of managing them in an effort to minimize the threat they pose to the safety, security and order of the facility, collects intelligence for the purpose of drug interdiction, locating and confiscating dangerous contraband, proactive in compromised staff investigations, serves as the intelligence capability of the facility and as the outside agency liaison.

Responsible for providing tactical capabilities to the Adult Detention Facility in the event of mass disturbances, riots, tactical search operations and barricaded inmates by deploying special weapons, tactics and maintaining proficiency in the use thereof. Subject to a constant on call status 24/7, 365 days a year and may be activated for special responses and emergency situations.

Responsible for transporting inmates to and from scheduled appointments, courts, other facilities and furloughs, maintaining physical control during high risk transports in any outside events, maintains proficiency in specialty restraint equipment, firearms, tactical driving and convoy operations which include chase vehicle tactics.

Responsible for the daily safety, security and order of the facility and inmate population by conducting random patrols and searches in the housing, recreational and inmate working areas. Responds to code activations for emergency situations, maintains required documentation and submits all reports prior to the end of shift.

Responsible for the daily operations of the residents, ensuring all residents are participating in required programming and comply with juvenile justice orders. Maintains direct supervision or residents and conducts random searches, patrols and inspection of housing, recreational and programming areas.
