System-Network Administrator
CurrentI have worked for the County for 14+ years and I am currently one of 2 Systems/Network Administrators. I have a BS in CIS and Microsoft certified MCSA. I have many roles/responsibilities a main role is Project Management. I supports ALL agencies/departments in the county, and I am primary support for the Prosecutor Department/Narcotics Task Force. I am the VMware, Microsoft Exchange, email archive, and web/email security, and SCCM administrator for the county and cover all roles as needed including escalated desktop support and troubleshooting of all systems. I coordinate projects from start to finish. Gathering information to assess needs at hand, researching all options available, choosing the technology that is the best fit, requesting purchases of services/equipment as needed, and installing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining the project to completion. I install/configure/maintain physical and virtual servers (windows 2000-2012r2 - single and clustered), storage devices (SAN, NAS, DAS) as well as switches and routers, ups, and printer/copiers. I recently rebuilt the Prosecutor's isolated domain in a VMware environment for HA and redundancy. Also implemented VM environment within main county domain for HA and redundancy of mission critical servers/applications (both VM environments have redundant hosts/SANS/switches/etc.). Data is replicated offsite to a SUMO at second datacenter in case of main site loss we can bring up all mission critical applications and re-route traffic across our microwave radio backbone. Our team implemented the first microwave radio ring network backbone in state of NJ, which allow us to re-route traffic around the circle in the event of a site loss. Other responsibilities include backups, troubleshooting, documenting, end user education and increasingly important is researching new technologies to ensure county agencies are up to date with the most efficient and cost effective technologies available.
