Researcher on identification of groups and cluster of galaxies.

FAPESP scholarship. Research on Extragalactic Astrophysics, covering topics on Photometric Redshift, Groups and Clusters Identification. Among other publications, first authored a publication that successfully applied database data mining to publish the first ever list of candidate Fossil Groups of Galaxies. That research earned a prize of best scientific project in the American Virtual Observatory School (2006).Participated in a number of national and international Symposiums and Meetings, both professional and for the outreach. Including tutoring a course on 'Lectures using real astronomical data' for teachers, based on the project SDSS and the website Skyserver.

Studying and researching database data mining and Virtual Observatory protocols. Also, translated the educational and outreach website for the SDSS project: SkyServer (up until his seventh release).

Research on Applied Nuclear Physics for element detection in materials, such as teeth, for interdisciplinary studies. In particular, applying statistical techniques to derive the smallest amounts of detectable elements.
