Quest Software provides cutting edge corporate identity management services and large scale enterprise storage and Data Protection services originally developed by Dell via the Dell Software Group.The Dell Software Group (DSG) was sold by Dell Inc. in 2016 to assist funding the acquisition of EMC. The DSG was then acquired by Quest Software. Quest Software continues offering enterprise storage solutions utilizing the existing enterprise suite of Data Protection products. They have also migrated many of these hardware based products to cloud service offerings.After the sell off I continued to maintain the original data center operations in Santa Clara, CA that was previously established by Dell.

Principal Engineer managing a large scale datacenter network and remote sites supporting 100+ member team of developers and test engineers. Provided DevOps support enabling Enterprise Storage and Optimization product development for Dell Enterprise Storage products. Enabled individual VPN and remote site to site VPN connectivity globally across the U.S., Europe and Asia. Managed users and team workspaces via iSCSI Network storage and source code and test repositories. Maintained all critical network services to support all involved. Managed two direct reports.

Managed all IT operations for the organization including network infrastructure deployment, MS Active Directory, MS Exchange services, VPN connectivity, VoIP phones and integrated multiple storage vendor platforms used for product development and interoperability testing. Responsible for 3 direct reports that facilitated daily IT support.

Began tenure as a Test Engineer and promoted to more challenging network engineering roles. Served as Senior Lead Test Engineer and Administrator for the Product Test team's Active Directory, DNS, NIS and IP network infrastructure backbone. Early contributor to architecture and implementation of the multi-node Linux HA pilot portion, the control plane and ultimately the data storage portion of the Axiom 500 product. The Axiom 500 served as a scalable interchangeable NAS, SAN or combined NAS/SAN platform for this manufacturer of Hybrid SAN and NAS storage arrays. Lead a team of 10 functional and system test engineers.

Designed, installed and maintained small business infrastructure networks including building and configuring mail servers, apache webservers, firewalls, remote PPP dial-in access, file servers, print servers and end user work stations. Specialized in Linux centric infrastructure for Microsoft Windows based end user workstations.

Served as a test engineer qualifying the Stratus FT server product. The FT Server product was a triplex redundant Windows 2000 Server system deployed in critical roles in financial and medical institutions where system downtime was not an option.

Mission Viejo, California

Tested and validated the ES 5000 server series for Unisys, specifically qualifying it with Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) for Windows 2000 signature drivers. Also validated the product for Intel HCT Server Design Guide 2.0 compatibility.
