Pinehouse Apprenticeship Program:• Developed an apprenticeship program for Pinehouse clients who are engaged in trade-related work activities.• Worked in partnership with the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission to register and monitor all potential apprentices. • Created programs to increase community understanding of the apprenticeship process. • Worked with training institutions to bring at least one training program to the community annually.• Project successes include one IP welder, one IP carpenter, one IP construction craft laborer, two level four heavy-duty technicians, one level four electrician, and ten level four carpenters.COR Safety System for Pinehouse Business North:• Developed a program to create a safety culture for Pinehouse employees that achieved COR certification for the Saskatchewan Heavy Construction Safety Association.• Developed internal safety training systems that are industry-recognized for all Northern Saskatchewan-based uranium mining operations and for government crown corporations, including Saskatchewan Highways, SaskPower, and SaskEnergy.• Successfully implemented a safety culture through the program that was administered and owned by the employees, decreasing incidents to near zero year over year.
