About Wanda Padilla

After years of experience working to build a positive brand image for "La Voz de Colorado" bilingual newspaper, I then worked to re-build the local weekly newspaper, "Denver Herald," formerly the "Denver Herald-Dispatch." It circulates mainly in west and southwest Denver, so the publication reaches many older residents and home-owners.However, this publication was sold and the new owners brought in their own sales and marketing team. So I turned to Senior Care for a couple of years; most recently I worked for FirstLight Home Care based out of their Lakewood office. Following that gig, I moved into office work in my current position as the Front Desk Receptionist for Courtyard at Lakewood, a Holiday Retirement Community.

I sold advertising to local area businesses and also help with the circulation of this publication. The newspaper was sold in January, 2017 to Colorado Community Media, owned by Jerry Healey.
