With a background in marketing and a flair for creativity, most people asked me why I worked in technology. I have been in this field for most of my professional career because my talent is my ability to understand the business needs and how technology contributes to the solution. My strength is to begin with the end in mind, to truly "see" the desired results and then to ascertain the best way to reach the goal. Three things I enjoy doing: reading, playing the piano and assembling puzzles. I truly believe those three things are why my mind works the way it does enabling me to see the end result (the picture for the puzzle), structure a viable solution (the definition of music is organized sound) and ultimately deliver an acceptable answer to the business problem (the story line). I consider myself a life-long learner because I never stop learning: new things, approaches, technology, ideas. As such, I am a change agent. I believe planning is critical, but I readily accept that plans have to be as flexible as the world in which we live. My career has been deep in many different areas of technology from programming to management; from call centers to insurance exchanges. I have written and delivered training on project management and on actual systems for which I was responsible to develop. From a business vertical my passion is education but I have worked in Education, Healthcare, Government, Manufacturing, the Hospitality Industry, Finance, and Real Estate. My first programming job was writing programs for mortgages which ultimately is how I came to be in this vast technology field. I welcome new opportunities because I never want my mind to become fixated on the now but to move into the realm of possibilities of tomorrow.For my future, my desire is to always make a difference: whether that is in my volunteer work, my career choice, or how I live my life.
