Outlook Mobile Server EngineerOwned of the (mobile) client-facing server service, which handles mail/calendar/contact sync, authentication, failover recovery, mail notifications, supporting 100M+ active installs. Engineering involves Python, gevent, thrift, cassandra, cosmosdb, azure.Owned of the internal admin web service for Outlook Mobile user management.Lead the engineering effort, along with three interns, in setting up and integrating UI Testing on Outlook Mobile for Android.

• Worked with the Computational Model Builder (CMB) team to work towards the release of version 4.• Helped with various areas of the CMB product, including the CMake build system, writing and integrating the Sphinx-based documentation, updating the Shiboken-based python wrapper from SMTK project, and create tests for CMB's UI and import/export capabilities.• Fixed bugs for Kitware's Reactor Geometry Generator in both the underlying core as well as the QT-based UI.• All work is publically available at https://gitlab.kitware.com/u/dylan-wang for CMB and github.com/Kitware/{RGG, SMTK}

• Worked under Abhinav Bhatele to continue research on a 2013 paper related to work I did in 2011 (see below).• Developed a performance measurement and analysis system to understand performance variation on the Edison Supercomputer. A poster presenting the findings was shown at ACM’s Student Research Competition at Supercomputing 2014.

• Wrote a job management system for the LBNL Advanced Light Source's SPOT Suite Portal (spot.nersc.gov) using RabbitMQ to dynamically spawn workers for parallel image processing of large datasets (5-200GB).

• Created various web applications and internal programs to assist the User Services Group at NERSC with understanding how their customers used the supercomputers• Applications were mainly focused around the Joint Genome Institute’s Genepool supercomputer and its users, particularly in understanding user demand for various node configurations

• Participant of the BLIPS program and completed a research project understanding performance variation on the Hopper Supercomputer under mentor Katie Antypas• Results were presented to Cray Computer and in early 2012 modifications influenced by this research were installed onto the supercomputer• This research has been referenced by a paper published in conjunction between Lawrence Livermore National Lab and UC Davis Dept. of Computer Science
