I'm currently working as the Lead Configuration Engineer at Blue Connections where I designed the room that we currently run config, decom and repairs in. More recently I designed a vertical imaging solution, that we are currently in the process of implementing, that will enable 20+ laptops to be configured in a foot print the same size as what 4 to 5 laptops would normally take.Previously I was working at Coles head office for IMI as a system engineer for approx. 6 months. Left due to contract ending.Prior to IMI I worked at Staples, formally C.E., running the configuration centres (first in Melb, then in Syd) for 10 years. I have configured a wide variety of hardware for an equally wide variety of clients. Hardware includes, Lenovo and HP tablets, laptops, desktops, workstations and servers as well as Dell laptops and desktops. After moving to Sydney I modified the configuration centre's infrastructure and updated work processes to more than quadruple throughput.I have 26 years I.T. experience as well as 10+ years experience in warehousing and process work. These seemingly unrelated skill sets actually enable me to produce high volume with a very low error rate as configuration work is part process work, part technical work.Specialties: Process Optimisation (Volume/Accuracy): In my current enviroment I am able to configure up to 60 desktop or notebook PCs a day with an error rate well under 1% assuming time on bench of aprox 1 to 1 and 1/2 hours as well as being able to train others to produce the same volume/accuracy consistently. Configuration methods used include MS Whiteglove/Intune, SCCM, Paragon imaging and others.
