Perform the functions of the on-site Task Lead and Afloat Expeditionary Aviation Systems Engineer, providing support to Maritime Expeditionary Warfare by supervising a multitude of contractors, and maintaining awareness of naval aviation development efforts in order to ensure Marine Corps aviation assets can be fully integrated aboard both future and legacy surface platforms. As the subject matter expert (SME) provided expertise in aviation requirements to support future maritime expeditionary operations, and assisted in the development and design of LHA(R) Flight 1 (LHA 8) and LPD 17 Flight II (LPD 30). As the SME, have leveraged in-depth knowledge of aviation operations, logistics and maintenance requirements to develop the most effective and efficient lift capabilities to support the future Marine Aviation Combat Element (ACE) within an Amphibious Readiness Group (ARG) or ATF. These studies and analyses cover the full range of MAGTF operations, to include Special Purpose (SP) MAGTF’s, MEU, MEB, and the MEF.

Provide Aviation Logistics Expertise to Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), Combat Development & Integration, Seabasing Integration Division, as the Aviation Requirements Planner to support future Amphibious Assault Ships and Maritime Prepositioning Ships. Coordinated with adjacent and higher commands to identify requirements for ship integration of current and future aviation systems planned for Expeditionary Ships Capabilities. Provided aviation requirements to support analysis and planning of future Marine Air Ground Task Forces constructs, employment and deployment requirements within the Amphibious Task Force, and Maritime Prepositioning Force Future/Seabased Enabled (MPF(F)/(SE)). Planned aviation matters as they relate to Marine Corps Maritime Capabilities; participated in Capability Based Assessment, Aviation Logistics Footprint Assessments, Integrated Process Teams, Working Groups, and related meetings; provided conduit between aviation and maritime matters to ensure Marine Corps requirements and interests were met in regards to the Amphibious Ship Recapitalization, the Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF), LHA 6 (LHA(R) Flight 0), and LSD(R) Programs.
