At the Manitoba HVDC Research Centre Warren is presently responsible to carry out specialized studies and research focusing on instrumentation, measurement and monitoring technologies. This research work can include specification and procurement of new equipment, development of project schedules, and preparation of both progress and final reports regarding the research work. Other work includes assembly of newly designed Line Fault Locator Systems and assisting with factory acceptance testing.

1990 - 2007: Technician at Dorsey Convertor Station. As part of the Electronics Maintenance Dept. work included scheduled maintenance as well as commissioning of new and replacement HVDC controls and auxiliary equipment. During this time Warren was assigned to work on Line Fault Locator System at the HVDC Engineering Department. 1983-1990: Technician at Radisson and Henday Converter Stations. Among other normal maintenance duties, assisted in commissioning Nelson River Bipole 2 ±500 KV 2000 MW project. Involved in commissioning HVDC Controls and associated equipment.1981-1983: Participated in the two year training program in the Electronics Maintenance Department. Completed program with certificate in June 1983.
