In February 2009 I became the General Manager of Tournament Pleasure Boats (TPB) Pty Ltd. In May 2010, due to the downturned economy, I identified the need to diversify into the industrial fibreglass market. I established a new business called Qld Fibreglass which produced industrial products, and catered for the Mining, Transport and Private sectors. I purchased Edencraft Boats Pty Ltd on 1 July 2006. I relocated the business from Corowa NSW to the Gold Coast and became the largest survey fiberglass trailerable boat manufacturer in Australia.Edencraft manufactured survey and custom offshore fishing boats, for those that operate government vessels, commercial ventures or want a virtually indestructible fishing boat.My responsibilities were the same as those when working for Tournament Pleasure Boats.SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS:- Setup National Dealer Network- Increased sales/production by approx. 220% in first year

I commenced my career as a boat builder with Haines Hunter (then owned by Outboard Marine Corporation, global manufacturers of Johnson & Evinrude outboard motors, who also owned numerous boat manufacturing companies throughout the world).My career progression encompassed the following positions - Department Supervisor, Quality Control Manager, Production Manager, and then General Manager.During this time I also did extensive travel both internationally and domestic for product development, attending national boat show circuit and national sales managers meetings.In January 2001 Outboard Marine Corporation, the parent company of Haines Hunter, in the USA was put into liquidation. It was at this time myself and two other senior colleagues of the company and an investor, instigated a management buyout of Haines Hunter.My responsibilities were that similar in my other positions above.SIGNIFICANT ACHIEVEMENTS:- Managed budget in excess of $15M- Reduced overall expenses by over 35% and staff by 20%- Continuously achieved monthly production targets (with less staff)- Increased efficiencies (ie. boats were built to standard hours or below continuously)- Improved production efficiencies throughout the factory by implementing new systems and techniques- Reduced Warranty Claims from 8% to .01%
