This allows them to attract more engaged listeners, users, subscribers, etc., and make more money.Warren brings more than four decades of media industry experience to his role at Coleman Insights. As a freshman at Cornell University in 1983, Warren did his first air shift as a disc jockey at WVBR-FM and began a journey that sent his career in an unexpected direction. He went to college intending to pursue a legal career; two years after arriving at Cornell, he was running a radio station and never looked back. Warren eventually transitioned to the research side of the industry and spent a total of eight years at Arbitron (now Nielsen Audio) and Strategic Radio Research, while simultaneously completing his MBA at New York University.In 1995, he relocated to North Carolina's Research Triangle for the opportunity to work for Jon Coleman, a legend in the radio research industry, who has become his mentor and dear friend. Jon hired Warren as a Vice President and he spent 13 years in that role before Warren rose to his current position in 2008.Another of Warren’s priorities is for Coleman Insights to have a positive impact on the communities it serves. As a result, the company participates in the Pledge 1% initiative, through which it donates one percent of its profits, one percent of its services, and one percent of its employees’ time to charitable causes.Warren has been married to his wife Sharon since 1990 and they have two grown children and a mini Goldendoodle named Murphy. He is an over-the-top sports junkie, with extreme passions for running, cycling, and hockey, the latter of which has him at the rink on most Sunday nights and moving a little slower on most Mondays!
