Co-founder of an award winning business, and entrepreneur who’s passionate about making a positive impact through the work I do.After working at Plastic logic as development engineer for electronic research and development with flexible display technology, I moved to Azuri Technologies working as an engineer managing production and new products with manufacturing partners in Asia to deliver for solar lighting to Africa markets. I then worked up to a new role as project manager advising VPs and CEO through data visualisation and reporting work along with managing technical team of seven. I left the security of a well paid job to co-found an innovative children’s company on a mission to change short lived unplayed toys in a sustainable way and reconnecting children with movement and creativity. Whilst I do enjoy making sure we have good manufacturing processes and quality controls. I also get a lot of joy out of being able to mentor and mange a small young team along with making a positive impact on what we are doing and community building activities like being part of 1% For the Planet.I am an engineer by training and 1st class degree in Electronics. Through my professional and tertiary education, I am highly skilled in manufacturing, new product development and project management with a strong focus in start ups and SMEs. As a start up founder, I have learned to up-skill and the art of sales, accounting and budgeting, marketing, building a board of directors, producing board papers, customer service and building meaningful relationships.I'm a doer, problem solver, mentor and leader. I am inspired by the future and like to roll up my sleeves to help achieve outcomes. I'm not afraid to voice my concerns if something doesn't seem right. I enjoy connecting with people to help each other grow. Above all else, I want to lead and empower others and myself to make an impact in our lives and the lives of others.
