After 7 years of working in the health-care sector, I’ve made the decision to change into tech. In my social circle I’ve met a lot of people in the tech sector and everytime we talked about work, I got told, This developing thing is something for you, you should do it. After doing the bootcamp I’ve really fallen in love with coding and developing. Working in the health-sector taught me a couple of important things that come in handy in the techworld. Having to talk to many different people everyday taught me to become a good communicator. Working in a team is key in the health-sector, so I’ve learned to be a great teamplayer. Next to that I really learned how to think on the go. Making quick decisions and problem solving made me very adaptable to many situations. Patience is crucial when working with clients and coding. I have plenty of it, especially when it comes to finding and fixing stubborn bugs.In tech I love the problem solving aspect and learning better ways to optimize and organize code. Organizing the code in a logical way and making it readable is something I really enjoy doing.Having worked with many technologies and apps in healthcare really made me appreciate apps that are intuitive to use. This is why I try to make my apps as intuitive as possible.The bootcamp has been one of the most enjoyable things I’ve done. I’m very excited for a career in this field.
