I am a Solicitor and Notary Public with extensive experience gained in general chamber, commercial practice and in-house environments. During this time I have acted for a diverse client base from developers and landowners (including some of Scotland's largest landed estates) to funders and commercial organisations in all aspects pertaining to rural property in Scotland, including:Sales/Purchases of Rural Property - from extensive landed estates including sporting rights, forestry, fishing, farming interests and numerous residential properties to small areas of property for amenity ground. Renewable Energy Projects - across all technologies (Onshore Wind, Hydro-schemes, Anaerobic Digestion Plants, Solar and hybrid technologies) and acting for all parties across all stages of the development processes, from project inception to commissioning and onwards sale. I have also been very involved in advising on the agricultural and crofting law aspects of these energy projects.I am a founder member of Women in Renewable Energy Scotland (www.wirescotland.com) and the current Chair of their Steering Group.I am also a member of the Energy Law sub-committee and the Property Law Reform sub-committee of the Law Society of Scotland, which allows me to be at the forefront of changes to the law in Scotland.
