Deliver, facilitate and assess didactic and experiential learning for a diversity of adult learning styles. Develop, facilitate and assess practical 'in-field' scenarios to train responders to perform a range of emergency response roles , with emphasis on the key ‘chain-of-command’ functions. Participants are given a practical understanding, and feedback in their competency to perform key scene leadership activities i.e. tactical briefing (SMEAC), SITREPs, Team Updates, management/control of the scene – physical perimeters and zones of activity, tactical planning and identification of objective/s, and debriefing of teams.Develop, facilitate and coordinate complex, real-time, multi-site (field, EOC, ECC) training exercises (simulations) to exercise emergency response systems and procedures at all response levels of on-shore and off-shore gas and oil operations. Back for a whirlwind return to front-line clinical care and student support in Santo. Slotted right back into my previous roles and assisted adult learners with their online studies; explaining physiological and pathophysiological concepts and principles using metaphors and examples to which they could relate. Filled a need for this fledgling branch of Promedical on Santo. Worked with a small but committed group of Ni-Vanuatu student paramedics in a resource-challenged setting. These men are all well-connected and committed health care workers who are an asset to the organisation. and pre-hospital care and transport. Challenges consisted of remote and isolated patients, whose health literacy resides in a cultural paradigm distant from 'western' health care. My language skills also experienced a solid 'work-out' and fortunately did not let me down. Santo has a far larger francophone population than previously encountered in Vila. Clinical guidelines also had to be adapted to prolonged treatment and transport times of remote patients; frequently jobs lasting 8-10 hours. Show less
