Originally hired to create and run reports from the main application SQL database using Crystal Reports and SQL queries. My role changed to take on administration of the SQL server and installing application updates, being the contact person with application vendor for these updates and supporting the servers required to run this application. I worked closely with the IT Director and later the CFO on projects including our data center infrastructure upgrade with new hardware and software in implementing Citrix, VMware, MS Office, Exchange server and Cisco IP phone system environments and later in the movement of the physical data center. My duties also came to include administration/support of VMware, rollout/setup of new VM's, Citrix and use of published apps including Citrix remote access, Exchange, Cisco IP phone system, mobile cell phone devices and working with vendors, to be accountable for the maintenance of existing systems and for the coordination/implementation of new systems. I was able to independently develop and execute cost saving projects such as new Sophos firewall/anti-virus/web-filtering solution, add new features and upgrade our Cisco IP phone system. Working with senior management I was tasked with providing feedback on such issues as data integrity, how we might resolve data systems usage issues and related problems as well as providing info on future IT plans/needs for fiscal budgets.

In my position here I provided network support for in house users along with the setup of workstations and laptops along with software and hardware upgrade/repairs, including installation and administration of the company's Exchange server. Other duties involved the roll out and support of laptops for Visiting Nurse staff, including setup of computers at a remote office site and travel to the site for maintenance and technical support. Also handled support desk calls for all issues including running SQL database updates for the companies main application used and interacting with the main application vendor for problems and issues concerning use of the application and maintenance of it.

Involved in the research, conception and founding of this small ISP. Acted as project leader which entailed the purchasing of equipment, establishing and keeping within a budget, as well as keeping the project within the planned startup time-frame. My daily duties there involved Network and Systems administration of all the company's servers and software, including developing and creating the company's and customer websites as well as providing technical help and support for customers.
