Responsible for the accounting, budgeting, systems and control framework underpinning investment activities for £5bn of assets under management within both liquid and illiquid asset classes with leadership responsibility facing off to a diverse audience including CEO, CFO, investment committee, asset managers, credit rating agencies, auditors, risk and the groups custodian.Business partner for sterling commercial investment property portfolio, the groups custodian and external accounting and risk provider.

Managed a team of eight within the non-core division in creating a five-year value creation plan with the objective of risk reduction in a capital efficient manner in running down the division, which consisted of £258 billion of third-party assets (TPA’s) and £171 billion of risk-weighted assets across various portfolios of asset classes and global locations, for assets no longer considered core to the RBS strategy, whilst not destroying shareholder value.

Responsible for MI reporting for Equity Sponsors and Portfolio Management, with an emphasis on supporting relationship managers and executives within the business, in targeting the key financial parameters in equity buyouts across Global Banking Markets and Leveraged Finance and the utilisation of the balance sheet across regions (EMEA, Americas and APAC).
