Wayne Gray is a 41 year veteran of the insurance industry. He has built six nationally recognized agencies and worked as a home office executive for Prudential, MetLife, and Mutual of Omaha. He has been a featured speaker for many insurance companies, the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers (NAIFA) and community organizations. Wayne is well known in the industry for his skills in agency building, new agent development, training and agent retention. In May of 1974, two weeks before the end of his senior year in high school, having just received his acceptance to the Air Force Academy, Wayne attended a scouting activity with a small aircraft. He walked too close to the airplane propeller and lost his right hand.Instead of the Air Force Academy, Wayne attended BYU and served a mission in GA & AL for his church. He's enjoyed a successful career in insurance. His four children have graduated from West Point, MIT, Berkeley, Utah State and the University of London. His two son's served in the Army in Iraq. His youngest son was the Soldier of the Year for Fort Polk Louisiana. Wayne's family has hosted 11 Exchange Students from around the globe. Today, he plays a fair game of golf and enjoys baseball and racquetball. Over the last fifteen years Wayne has built and owns a nationally recognized Independent Insurance Agency by the name of Legacy Insurance and Financial Services. Today the company has over 90 people in 9 offices throughout Utah, Idaho, Washington and Nevada. They produce over 8,000 applications per year for over Nine Million in Life and Health New Business Premium and Twenty Million in Annuities. They have been a leader in their parent company (ASB) nationally. Wayne feels that it has been the privilege of his life to work with the many professionals within his company. They have become much like his extended family. Wayne has served on the advisory board of American Senior Benefits (ASB). In September of 2020, Wayne was inducted into the ASB Hall of Fame. Wayne has also represented the State of Utah in Washington DC for the insurance industry.

He served as a moderator for the industries Agency Management Training Course (AMTC). He is active in the international General Agents and Managers Association (GAMA). Wayne is well known in the industry for his skills in agency building, new agent development, training and agent retention. Wayne started as an insurance agent at age 24. He averaged over 250 life sales per year for the next three years. Since then he has built six nationally awarded agencies for Prudential, MetLife, Business Men’s Assurance, One America and American Senior Benefits.In August of 2006 Wayne took the opportunity to begin building an agency of his own. He had strong feelings about building an organization around prospecting sources provided by the agency, not the new agent’s family and friends. He started with two agents working out of his living room. Today, they are the largest career insurance agency in Utah and Idaho in the Senior Market and have become a leading agency nationally with the parent company they are contracted with, American Senior Benefits (ASB). Today Wayne and his son Larry work as partners and owners of Legacy. They are contracted as Regional Managers for ASB covering Utah and Idaho. Wayne also serves on the national Advisory Board. His agency lead the company nationally in 2014 and 2015 and continues to be among the top leading agencies today. The agency is made up of 8 offices with over 80 career agents locate in: Las Vegas, St George, Provo, Price, West Jordan (SLC), Ogden, Boise and Spokane.
