Technician

Field Service • Extensive national (North America including the Gulf of Mexico) and international(Brazil and Malaysia Offshore) travel to on and offshore customer’s sites to troubleshoot, commissioning and repair equipment for the mining, oil, gas and hydro industries. • Analyze malfunctions and repair, rebuild and maintain equipment • Operate and inspect machines/equipment to diagnose problems • Dismantle and reassemble equipment, using hoists and power tools • Examine parts for damage or excessive wear • Replace defective engines and subassemblies • Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency • Perform basic welding to repair broken parts as required Inside Sales/Order Entry • Contact customers to follow up on service and status of order as well as to generate service contracts • Provide telephone service, answering routine customer inquiries on service and products • Maintain systems such as filing, correspondence tracking, as well as searching internal systems and/or accessing departmental information to track information • Prepare various documents from written or verbal instructions • Receive and review orders for clarity, accuracy, and completeness • Input information into systems • Prepare expense and service reports using MS Excel • Maintain and build relationships with current customers • Respond to customer requests

- Manage the Service Department, complete month end reporting, process warranty claims, daily service invoicing to customers, schedule machine repairs in shop, and time manage the work orders - Supervising shop employees - Servicing and repairing Bobcat equipment at dealership and on job site - First point of contact for after hours emergency calls - Respond to professional services requested outside our servicing area - Attend annual Bobcat training courses at Centennial College
